What is a TeleForum, Webinar and
Podcast?
A TeleForum
is a
workshop held on a conference telephone line. These interactive calls bring participants from all over the world
together to learn, discuss and create the action steps needed to
move their dental practices forward. As expert presenters, Angie
and Penny facilitate calls ranging from fascinating interviews
to training conferences. Since each TeleForum is easily accessed
by telephone, you can experience this lively and informative
exchange of ideas from the convenience of your office... with no
travel expense.
A Webinar , or "Web seminar," is an online event designed to facilitate communication between a small number of presenters and a large remote audience using the Internet. Webinars reach audiences more effectively than regular in-person events because there is no need to plan travel or reserve conference space. A webinar can be very collaborative, and include polling and question & answer sessions to allow full participation between the audience and the presenter.
In most cases, the presenter may speak over a standard telephone
line, pointing out information being presented on screen, and
the audience can respond over their own telephones.A Podcast is simply a digital media file, in this instance a MP3 file, available for direct download. Don't let the name fool you. Although the term 'podcast' was inspired by the iconic iPod, podcasts can easily be enjoyed on pretty much any MP3 player or even on your computer. Once downloaded they can be listened to where and when it's convenient to you.
