Don't let the name fool you. Although the term 'podcast' was inspired by the iconic iPod, podcasts can easily be enjoyed on pretty much any MP3 player or even on your computer.

Podcasts are simply digital media files, such as MP3s or videos, that are 'broadcasted' over the Internet either as a direct download or by a streaming feed. While they're not like conventional TV broadcasts, they are similar to 'on demand' TV.

Saving podcasts.

To download an MP3 file, follow the link above to the MP3 file.  

Click on the file and select a location on your computer and save the file. Note that the MP3 files are quite large and may take a long time to download, especially with a slow connection.  You are now ready to listen to the MP3 on your computer with your music player software computer.  If you wish, transfer the MP3 file to your I-pod or mp3 player to listen at your convenience.
